Giving Tuesday is upon us!
So what is Giving Tuesday? It’s an international day of action where people get together and contribute to making the world a better place.
The most obvious way you can do this, as the name suggests, is by giving. After the Black Friday bonanza and the Cyber Monday shopping, Giving Tuesday gives you the chance to tip your karmic scale with all the money you saved in the sales.
Alcohol Concern is a small national charity with a big vision – to change the drinking culture in the UK. We lead change by raising awareness through our Dry January campaign and making the case for polices that will help reduce problems in society caused by alcohol. We also work with the police, the NHS, schools and many other public and private sector organisations to help reduce the harmful effects alcohol has within families and communities. As a small national charity, we need funds to help us deliver much-needed services and activities, and donations will help us to continue delivering our work across the UK.
At Alcohol Concern there are three ways to take part in Giving Tuesday
- Donate to Alcohol Concern
- Buy your Dry January merchandise or get your Dry Humour tickets ready for January 2015
- Sign up to Dry January and set up a fundraising page on JustGiving.
Whatever you decide to do, share it with us on Facebook and Twitter using #GivingTuesday to make your action part of something bigger!
